Coyner’s Comment:
Given the lack of public outcry and open controversy, the EU-Korea FTA is moving fairly smoothly through the South Korean National Assembly. Hopes that eventually passage will be the same for the KORUS FTA are probably wishful thinking, even if the contents of the two agreements are not vastly different.
